Great good and service, but not the best place for younger children. They do not a have children's menu and drinks are served in heavy glasses and hard for younger children to handle.

I've been going here for about 10 years now. It's a favorite for the whole family. If you haven't tried their Thai Tea, it's a must! It's a great place for a date night.

I appreciate that they stay open until 10pm since some other Thai places in the area close earlier. Enjoyed the pineapple fried rice, patient and friendly staff, as well as the restaurant's aesthetic.

The staff are very nice. The place is clean. The decor is nicely done. The food is good, but not as good as some of their competitors. Their Pad Thai, for instance, isn't as flavorful or generously portioned as elsewhere in town.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner tonight, first visit for both of us. We both decided to order the ginger tilapia. I thought it was delicious, while my boyfriend thought it was just okay. I chose spice level 4 (out of 5), and I was pretty surprised at how mild it actually was, couldn't feel any heat; makes Frank's Red Hot buffalo sauce seem like I'm eating a ghost pepper. I'm not going to take a star off for my chosen spice level not delivering what I anticipated, though, because everything else about the experience was absolutely wonderful: the romantic lighting, the beautifully decorated interior, and the very prompt, friendly service. Will definitely return!

This place is very cute and intimate! Great for a date night! The food is very flavorful and delicious! Their dishes are quite spicy so be cautious with the level of spice you choose. This is definitely my favorite Thai spot in Norman ! Make sure to try the pineapple fried rice it is scrumptious!

The wife and I have been eating here for over 10 years. AMAZING THAI FOOD. Wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They are very accommodating.

First, I'm not a big fan of Thai food. I had their pad Thai with chicken, spice level 5, but it wasn't hot enough for me. The food was good, the waitress was great, the Thai Tea was awesome.

I'm torn on the review, so I gave it a 3. My girlfriends and I met for lunch today at 12:00. We ordered but were not served our food until 12:45, and all of us had to ask for a to-go box and the check because we had to leave to get back to work! Apparently there was a big table being served ahead of us and so everyone else in the restaurant was waiting for their food. It's not at all a way to run a business over a lunch hour. The food was very tasty when I pulled it out at my desk to eat instead of being able to enjoy a meal with my friends.

My parents and I love this place! The spiciness of the dish you get can be chosen, and it isn't like the Central American kind of "hotness". Meaning you don't feel it the same way, more like you feel it in the back of your sinuses rather than your tongue and throat. Also their rice and noodles are always perfect!

The food was delicious and appropriately portioned. I would recommend going up one spice level here in relation to other Thai places. The only issue we had was with the staff. She took our food order and we requested a moment to review the drinks menu. The next time we saw her was when our food was being delivered, which made the whole experience a bit awkward since our drinks then came out after our food. We could not capture the attention of anyone to come and take our order. But it was a minor inconvenience and the food more than made up for it.

Sweet Basil is a nice simple place to go get Pad Thai and relax with your friends or family. My husband and I have gone a few times and appreciate their relaxed environment. The service can be hit or miss, but we are never in a rush when we go there so that's okay. We've never had to wait for table which is nice.

Delicious pad Thai and Red Curry. Courteous staff attention and quick seating even during lunchtime. The prices are higher than Pei Wei, which is a bit anticlimactic because the quality is on the same level (which is only meant as a compliment to both bc I ❤️ Pei Wei)I will add to this as a tangent that their pricing scheme is really simple and interesting: same price for everything on the menu item-wise but only varying by protein choice.

This place is serious business for Thai food lovers. The food is filled with robust flavor, nothing is greasy, the vegetables tasted exceptionally fresh. Great service, was more than happy to tip very well. Ambience is quiet, great for a date or anyone who wants to be able to hear easily for good conversation. I will definitely eat here again!

Delicious Thai food! They are able to make most of the items on the menu gluten free. They have a short list on the last page of the menu that gives you a general idea, but I would recommend asking your server to be sure (you'll need to tell your server that you need it made gluten free anyway). The atmosphere is very nice; it's relatively quiet, and it's dark, but not so dark that you can't see. Their soda machine was broken during our visit and apparently they had been out of ice as well, but they managed to have some in time for our drinks. Inconvenient, but not enough to remove a star.

Everything in the menu is great! Can’t go wrong. Current favorite is soy sauce noodles. Always go low on heat and work your way up. A 3 is SERIOUS.

Best Thai place in Norman, Oklahoma. The owner is passionate about making sure service and quality of food is always excellent. Been coming for years and have yet to have a bad meal. Clean, calm, relaxing environment, teas also available. Nice menu with something for everyone. Enjoy!!

Best Thai in Town! Incredible atmosphere, beautiful and elegant design with amazing food and friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to ensure a wonderful experience. Locally owned and operated by a great family who is also very involved in the community. You can't go wrong w anything on the menu. I have been going there since they opened and am a loyal customer bc of how delicious their food is and how nice their staff is. The spring rolls are great and the calamari is amazing! If you try it once, you will be hooked! Great atmosphere for date nights and/or romantic meals w your love. I would highly recommend Sweet Basil to anyone and everyone!

Decent food. Not the best Thai I've had in Norman, but not bad either. I felt like the wait staff wasn't very focused, on us or on their job. I'm not slamming them, so over all rating ok. Just don't think it's cool to have to wait for drinks to be topped up, as an example.

Sweet Basil is my favorite Thai place in Norman. I love their spring rolls! They are always courteous and I love the atmosphere.

One of the best places to enjoy Thai food in North America! I used to eat there religiously while attending OU for my undergrad. Amazing food and the quality and the taste are just phenomenal. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is craving some delicious Thai noodles or rice dishes. I live in Colorado now and I still think of this place!

A friend told us we'd love it and we did! Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, but the food was truly the star - so fresh and flavorful! Go for a late lunch and miss the crowd, just remember they're closed from 3-5.

I visit & eat in Norman all the time, but had never been to Sweet Basil. We popped in on a friend's recommendations, and wow, this place is excellent. The atmosphere is quaint and charming, and the food is terrific. Looking at the photos I posted again today, I'm getting way hungry.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the world, and I've traveled quite a bit! The food, selections, service and ambience are wonderful, and the sauce they provide with their spring rolls is the best I've ever had - wish they'd bottle it up for me to give out as gifts. Haven't been in a while - time to treat myself again!
